2D Editor Overview

Overview: By using 2D Editor user can annotate 2D Bounding Boxes,2D Polygons,Lanes,Points for the camera images. Primary Toolbar: It is on the left side of the image editor.It consists of Box(B),Line(T),Polygon(Y),Point(O).These are the different Label types which are used in annotating images.

Apart from these options, the toolbar also has Home, Draw & Select, Pan, Zoom In and Zoom Out.

  • Home Button: Home button is used to navigate to the Homepage.

  • Draw & Select: User can label frames using this option. User can’t label if this option is not selected.

  • Pan: This Option is used for moving image. User can’t label images if this option is selected.

  • Zoom In: User can Zoom in by selecting this option.

  • Zoom Out: User can Zoom Out by selecting this option.

  • Primary Menu bar: It is on the top of the image editor. It consists of Frame, Label and View.

Frame: Frame has sub-options which are Previous Frame, Next Frame and Mark as done.

  • Label:Label had options like Unselect, Hide, Lock, Delete. It also has Attributes and Polygon Segmentation Mode.

View: View consists of Canvas view, Show Labels Text, Show Labels Attributes, Grid Size, Show Grid and Show Merge Options for Polygons.

Secondary Menu bar:It consists of Label category, Point size, view Editor on canvas, view Original Image on canvas, Labelling Pipeline and Image Status .

Panel Content: It is on the right of image editor. The available options in panel content are Files, Info, Labels, Issues and Auto QA. Apart from these it also has 2 more buttons Label Properties and Label Attributes which are used at different levels while labelling.

Info: Info displays file properties of that particular image.If info is selected the user can view image name, the path of image and assignments of the particular frame. User can directly move to Dataset or Project or Workspace Page based on selection. For example, if the user clicks on Project the tool navigates the user to the project page in the tool.

Buttons in the lower navigation bar and their usage:

  • Previous Frame, Play, Next Frame and Frame Numbers. There is a slider to move to next or previous frames.

  • Preload Data: It loads the frames in advance before opening them. User should not label more number of frames(>100) at once.

  • User can hide bottom bar using Hide bottom bar option.
